Hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that utilises hypnosis to induce a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus, known as a trance state. Here's a breakdown of how it typically works:

1: Induction: I will guide you into a relaxed state using techniques like guided imagery, progressive relaxation, or focused breathing.

2: Trance: Once you are in a trance state, you become highly receptive to suggestions and imagery. In this state, the conscious mind takes a back seat, allowing direct access to the subconscious mind.

3: Suggestion: I will provide positive suggestions or imagery tailored to the your goals or issues, such as reducing anxiety, overcoming phobias, managing pain, or changing habits. We will learn your affirmations and apply them to experience.

4: Reinforcement: Through repetition and reinforcement, these positive suggestions aim to rewire negative thought patterns or behaviours stored in the subconscious mind.

5: Awakening: I will gently bring you back to full wakefulness, often leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Following the session, you may continue to experience the benefits of the suggestions made during hypnosis.

It's important to understand that hypnotherapy does not involve mind control; you will remain fully aware and in control throughout the session. Success in clinical hypnotherapy depends on factors such as your motivation, openness to the process, and a strong therapeutic relationship with your therapist.

NLP

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a way of thinking about how our brain, language, and learned habits work together. Here's how it breaks down:

1: Copying Success: NLP starts by looking at successful people and copying what they do to be successful.

2: Talking and Understanding: NLP says that how we talk affects how we think and feel. It teaches ways to change our words to feel better and think more positively.

3: Making Connections: NLP teaches a trick called "anchoring" where you connect good feelings to certain things so you can feel good later when you see them.

4: Changing Habits: NLP gives techniques to change habits and ways of thinking to be more successful.

5: Getting Along with Others: NLP teaches ways to get along with people better, like copying their body language to make them like you more.

6: Seeing Things Differently: NLP teaches how to change how we see and hear things so we feel better.

Setting Goals: NLP says that setting clear goals helps us stay motivated and succeed.
In simple terms, NLP helps us change how we think, talk, and act to be happier and more successful.

 

Life Coaching

Life coaching is like taking a journey with a guide to help you reach your goals and feel happier. Here's how it works:

1: Setting Goals: First, you talk about what you want to achieve.

2: Making Plans: Together, you figure out the steps to reach your goals.

3: Getting Help: I'll keep you on track as you work toward your goals.

4: Learning New Things: Sometimes, I may support you with new skills to succeed. 

5: Thinking About Your Feelings: You talk about how you feel and why, to understand yourself better.

6: Celebrating Success: When you achieve something, we celebrate together.

7: Changing Plans if Needed: If things don't go as expected, we may change your plans.

Overall, life coaching is about helping you feel good and achieve what you want in life. It's like having a helpful friend to guide you along the way and keep you accountable for your progress.

When staying home or facing time constraints, hypnotherapy offers a solution with online sessions. Convenient and accessible, it's as effective as in-person therapy. With the rise of online interactions through platforms like Zoom more clients are opting for virtual hypnotherapy sessions. Research supports its efficacy, affirming that online therapy equals face-to-face sessions.

Hypnosis doesn't depend on having a therapist present. Throughout the day, we naturally enter a hypnotic state, known as 'trance,' especially when deeply focused. Have you ever been so absorbed in a movie or book that you lost track of time? or have you driven to a destination and thought how did I get here? Trance is a safe state where you're in control and can easily achieve relaxation with guided techniques.

As humans, we all need moments to relax, reflect, and process information. That's where Solution Focused Hypnotherapy comes in. It combines effective solution-focused discussions with trance work, allowing explored ideas and solutions to positively influence the brain.

Using Zoom for virtual hypnotherapy sessions is incredibly easy. Once we've set a time for your session, all you need is a good internet connection and a quiet, comfy spot. I'll send you a secure link just for you to join. Just like Zoom, click the link and follow the instructions to join using your laptop, tablet, or phone. You may need a warm blanket to keep you warm and a pair of headphones to enhance the experience.

In the first half of the session, we'll chat about positive experiences and focus on finding solutions. Then, you'll relax as I guide you into a state of focused attention where your mind is open to suggestions. Throughout, I'll make sure you're comfortable and visible on the screen. We'll wrap up with a quick chat about your progress and schedule your next session.
